I have been teaching six years: five in third grade (inclusion) and one year in a substantially separate setting for students on the autism spectrum.
I use a variety of teaching methods and styles, including direct-explicit instruction, cooperative learning, differentiated small groups, and ESPECIALLY providing elements of choice and independence throughout my students' days.
I currently hold the position of Lead Teacher for my grade level.
Master of Education, Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) K-8 Bachelor of Science, Elementary Education 1-6 Bachelor of Arts, English (Writing Concentration)
I love to read, work in my yard and garden, and I adore my two cats!
