TEACHING EXPERIENCE

A teacher for 30 years, I have been fortunate in my profession. I am Reading and Literacy Specialist and am currently teaching First Grade. I also enjoy serving as a Writing Consultant for the University of California, Irvine providing writing instruction training for teachers throughout Orange County, California. Additionally, I have worked as a Lead Support Provider for Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment Program at my district office for five years and as an English Arts Curriculum Specialist for ten years. I have unlimited passion for teaching children and adults and look forward to sharing some of my ideas and activities on Teacher Pay Teachers!

I believe in differentiated instruction through hands-on, inquiry-based learning as much as possible! This approach creates curiosity and the thirst of learning. It enables all students to feel successful while being appropriately challenged!
