TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am an award winning teacher that has been teaching for over 20 years and has experience in the elementary grades through high school. I am currently in the elementary classroom in a National Blue Ribbon School, and I also freelance as an educational consultant and as a mentor teacher for a large university. I am certified to teach elementary grades 1st - 8th, as well as Secondary English 9th -12th. I also have a gifted education endorsement and serve on several national gifted committees and organizations. Additionally, I work as a consultant for various education networks.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a very hands-on teacher, and I love to motivate students through fun activities, interactions, and technology. I am very aware of different learning styles and work to try to incorporate that into my lessons. I am a very out of the box thinker, with the need to analyze everything that I do in order to make it more successful! Thus, I create successful lessons that not only inspire and motivate kids, but they also teach strong skills across the board. I specialize in integrating different subjects into lessons so that students can make those vital connections necessary for those concepts to stick!
