TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for more than 20 years in elementary schools. I have also taught college classes and done many workshops. I currently teach Pre-K in an urban school district.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to use a multidisciplinary approach, using themes that are appropriate for young children. I teaching art and music in my classroom to incorporate a variety of topics. I love doing creative, hands-on projects with my students to reinforce the topics I teach.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was a presenter at the National NAEYC conference in 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia and in 2008 in Dallas, Texas. I also presented at the New York State NAEYC conference in 2007 in Westchester, New York. My topics included, "Pre-K Writing Workshop", and "Foundations for Emergent Literacy Instruction"
