I have had the pleasure of teaching Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades. I enjoy seeing my students learn new ideas and experience things they would not have otherwise.
Children learn best when they can explore and experience what they are learning through hands-on activities. Literature can support learning by planting the "seeds" of new ideas and concepts in the student that can be nurtured through developmentally appropriate practices.
I have authored and received numerous classroom grants earning thousands of dollars in materials and activities for use by my students.
I earned my Bachelors in Education from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas in 2002. I then earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at Arlington and am currently working on a subsequent Masters in Curriculum and instruction in Math from The University of Texas at Arlington.
I teach Kindergarten in Arlington, Texas. I am the lucky husband of Shannon and Daddy to Nathaniel, Jeremiah, and Kaitlyn.
