TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 13 years. I spent my first 6 years teaching 4th grade and have been in 3rd for 7.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in the workshop approach to teaching. I enjoy the ability to teach my students as individuals and small groups based on their individual needs. I teach social studies and science through research projects. I give students a topic to research with guiding questions. They become the experts and present what they have learned to the class through the creation of a visual or using technology to present their learning to peers.
