TEACHING EXPERIENCE

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Leslie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education and a minor in Library Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1979. She earned her Master's in Library and Information Science Center in 2008 from the University of Texas, Denton. Valerie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville 1981. Master's in Reading, University of Houston, 1990 and her librarian certification at University North Texas, Denton, in 2008.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Leslie lives in El Paso with her husband Paul and her two “kiddens” Purrsnickitty and Purrsimmony. She has two grown daughters, Brennyn and Lauren, and two young granddaughters, Cadence and Lucia who live in Ft. Worth and Albuquerque, New Mexico. She retired two years ago but recently returned to work as a librarian substitute. Valerie lives in Houston with her husband Roby and together they have an Earthly son Trey, in college in College Station, Texas and a Heavenly son Andrew. Valerie, Roby and Trey lost Andrew to Wilm’s Tumor, cancer of the kidney, at age three. They work with Relay for Life to raise money for cancer research.
