I have a lot of experience teaching the intermediate grades. Most of my work comes from lessons that have worked in my classroom. I've taught in the state of Michigan for two years and transferred certification in Illinois for the past 5+ years.
I love to have fun while learning. When students are engaged in a lesson, they tend to retain the information being taught. I try to create lessons that will spark the interest of my students. I also take into consideration the different learning styles within the classroom. Differentiation is also a big MUST within my classroom. All of my lessons include a variation for those students who may need an extra boost.

I have a bachelors in Education and a bachelors in English/Language Arts from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. I have received my Master's from Concordia University-Portland in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Reading Instruction.
I love to spend time with my family and friends. I spend the majority my time to crafting and enjoying good books. Most crafts have something to do with my classroom (teaching has ALWAYS been my passion).
