Genesis of the idea I was deeply disturbed to see wide scale human decision-making failures across sectors between 2009-2011 (Countries, Financial services, Politicians, Church, Media and Sports bodies etc.) Hence while doing a Masters program at Harvard during 2010-2011 with special focus on educational innovation & social entrepreneurship, I decided to carry out an in-depth research to address the challenge of “improving decision making and problem solving skills among the 21st century citizens”. The resulting insights led to the creation of this venture. Key Insights Medical research shows conclusively that hardwiring of human brains starts around the age of 4/5 years, finally peaking around 15/16 years and then continues to decline for the rest of the adult life which means that hardwiring of basic skills becomes very difficult after the age of 15-16. PROBLEM STATEMENT: The root cause of most of the failings of the world is deficiency of critical management skills among individuals, which leads to poor decision-making & ineffective problem solving. THEORY OF CHANGE "If management inputs/skills can be seeded in the young minds when they are still in a moldable age (6-16 years), then their brains will get hardwired to apply those learning’s for effective decision making and real life problem solving." The Solution The core of the solution is to create the worlds 1st 'Management Skills Curriculum for K-12, that will enable hardwiring of critical skills among 1 Billion young citizens during the growing stages of their intelligence. Key Activities & Achievements Pilot sessions were conducted in US, Europe, Singapore & India across selected public & private schools – highly encouraging results in the pilot stage with modules like economics for kids, negotiations for the jelly beans, leadership for middle schoolers and ethics for high schoolers etc. On the brink of launching the world's 1st online and gamified skills transfer platform aimed at transforming 1 Billion Citizens to Skillizens.
