I started teaching 2nd grade way back in 1999! I taught 2nd for nine years and loved it! Then, I moved to first grade and have spent the past 10 years being truly inspired by my students each day!
My goal each year is to create a classroom community in which all students celebrate each other's strengths and motivate one another to overcome weaknesses. * Learning should be engaging and connected to the real world! * It important to activate all parts of the brain so that learning will transfer into student's long term memory. In my classroom, students participate and create chants, cheers, and strategies to be solution seekers!
