I have been a speech-language pathologist for 18 years. I currently work in a children's rehabilitation hospital and have owned a private practice for 12 years. I am an experienced provider for childhood apraxia of speech, through CASANA. Over the years, I have seen many children walk through my door, with various diagnoses. I have enjoyed the challenge, as it has pushed me to continuously learn.
I like to always have evidence based practice data at my fingertips. I feel if is very important to know why we are "doing what we are doing." This provides us with information to back up our claims and ideas. It also keeps us in the loop with new research. I will include EBP and example goals in my work. Knowledge is Power. Happy Speech"ing" everyone!
I am listed on the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA) website as an experienced clinician in the treatment of CAS.
I graduated with my masters in speech-language pathology in 2000. I am trained in the Beckman protocol and have many hours of extra education in CAS.
