I use this as an end of the year activity. I encourage my kids to really think about what they want to be like in twenty years; I ask them to think realistically. The final product is usually very touching and beautiful. I print the "final copy"

I use this to quiz my 4th graders in order to assess whether they can find complete sentences or not. It is important that the child knows that there are two major parts to a sentence; in this way, they will know how to spot a fragment.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been with my school district for nine years now. I have mostly taught middle school, but this year I have taken on the daunting task of trying to teach 4th graders! The experience has been fun and challenging thus far. I look forward to sharing some of my work with you all!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I generally like to dissect everything that I teach. I always tell my children that I would not expect something from them that I would not be willing to do myself. I like to make my activities be as understandable as possible, so I include a lot of explicit directions and examples. In class, modeling is my biggest thing.
