TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My name is Emily Stolfus, and I am currently a geography teacher at Maru-a-Pula International School in Gaborone, Botswana. I recently graduated from Kansas State University and did my student teaching in Kindergarten. I've also spent time teaching ESL courses in Ecuador, Chile, and Mexico. While in college, I worked with the Boys and Girls Club and have various experience working with different after school programs. Needless to say, I enjoy working with students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I prefer a constructivist approach to education and try to incorporate critical thinking and current events into my lessons as much as possible. For younger students I enjoy incorporating a lot of play-based activities and wordless picture books, especially in the ESL classroom.
