TEACHING EXPERIENCE

After years as an elementary school teacher and librarian, I want to make available to you the lessons and techniques that I found successful in my teaching career. My most recent teaching position was as a fifth-grade classroom teacher, and most of my products on TPT are directed to the upper elementary level. I enjoy developing activities I have used in my classroom into products that will give you meaningful results and will save you time in preparation. It is my goal to offer you quality products that are well researched, well organized, and beneficial to you and your students. During my teaching career, I have taught self-contained classes in grades 2 through 6 and middle school reading and language arts classes. I have also been a school librarian for preschool through eighth grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My focus is on keeping the students active and engaged. Students can expand their reasoning skills and their enjoyment of learning when they are challenged to organize their knowledge and their creative ideas in a variety of ways.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have spent most of my career teaching in small rural schools and continue to live in a rural area. For pastime, I love to read, especially keeping up with new trends in children's literature. For many years, I have researched my family's history and published one e-book of genealogy.
