Along with my private music practice, I am currently the director of the Nevada Opera Youth program. In years past, I developed and ran "Step to the Music," a program that used music as a basis to help develop language, sequencing, memory, self-esteem, as well as motor and musical skills. I have keynoted for the Kentucky Association for Children Under Six at both the local and state levels. Also, I have facilitated workshops for the National Montessori Conference, Waldorf School, The Reno Association for the Education of Young Children, and the California Chapter of the National Music Therapy Association. I have taught music in the Marin County, Tahoe-Truckee, and Washoe County School districts. In addition, I have been the music director for productions including Music Man, Godspell, and Carnival. One of my greatest achievements is creating and running "Hop Through History" for the better part of the last two decades.
Though my experiences with music, education and music therapy, I truly have a unique approach to my teaching structure. Some of the basics in would the extended use of kinethetic, auditory, and visual cues.

I received my degree in Music Therapy from the University of the Pacific, as well as completing my master's coursework at the Stockton, CA campus. I continued my education in child psychology at Dominican College, and later participated in Orff Schelwerk training at the University of San Francisco. I interned at Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco. I was also trained in imagery at the Institute for Guided Imagery and Music.
My own performing career lasted over two decades including performances The Purple Onion, Holiday Inns, and Hyatt Hotels in San Francisco, John Asguaga's Nuggett in Reno, and The CalNeva in Lake Tahoe. I have created many programs from the ground up, including Reno's Broadway Bits, and several popular vocal enembles, including En Harmony and Divas & Dudes, that have performed for sell-out crowd throughout the Sierra Nevada Basin.
