MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Rowan University and double majored in both English and Secondary Education. I participated in research projects that allowed me to travel into different schools, high school and collegiate, to interview the current students for my thesis. This provided me with an opportunity to understand and hear the interests and opinions of students. Often, when I plan, I think about those students and what they shared with me. After student teaching, I was hired full time by the school as a 7th grade language arts teacher. Two summers ago, I was trained for the AVID elective class, a class that pushes innovative teaching styles and rigor.
