I worked as an Educational Assistant in a MiMh classroom for the first part of the 2010/2011 school year. I was then contacted to be permanent substitute an elementary school. I spent the remainder of the 2010/2011 school year working in long term substitute positions and gaining experience in many different areas. I got hired with the Vigo County School Corporation for the 2011/2012 school year, working at a middle school. I taught Special Education Language Arts to grades 6, 7, and 8. I then switched gears for the 2012/2013 school yearand I taught 1st grade, which I love!
I am a very organized, structured teacher. I keep things very orderly, and set my expectations early on in the school year. I love making learning fun. I enjoy planning hands on stations and projects for my students.

I graduated from Indiana State University in May of 2010 with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. I became highly qualified in Reading and Language Arts in 2011.
I am 26 years old and married to my high school sweetheart. We have a 2 year old Boxer, named Ramona. I am very family oriented. I love sports, I cheer for the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago White Sox, and IU basketball. I enjoy spending time outdoors gardening, bike riding, walking, and going to state parks. I love to be creative and crafty. I am learning how to sew, I enjoy paper crafts, and making things for my home and classroom.
