I have been teaching special education in a variety of settings for the past fifteen years. Most of my experience is in a middle school, urban setting.
I believe there is not a singular teaching style. Students need many different instruction types- from direct instruction to centers and group work to open-ended project based learning. I also am a firm believer that I want my students to become life-long learners and productive community members. I incorporate technology in almost all of my lessons.

I've attended multiple professional development seminars and classes specializing in middle school math, special education, and educational technology.
When I'm not teaching I love to read and bake- I tell my students all the time if I wasn't a teacher I'd open a bakery! I love sharing my teaching supplies with the community- please let me know how they work for you!
