Greetings Educators! My name is Sanja Vidakovic and I am currently a World Language Teacher (German) at Kittredge Magnet School for High Achievers. I have experience in writing dental and language curriculum. I have also taught higher education and I enjoy incorporating everything I learned in regards to Instructional Technology from my advanced degrees into my resources and staff development sessions. I am an ambassador for GirlsWhoCode and I enjoy participating in edtech chats. You can access my Linkedin profile on the following URL: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sanjav013/
I believe in "knowledge is power" and I am forever grateful to my amazing leadership team and PTA for giving me the opportunity to attend professional development sessions and conferences every year. Two of my favorite conferences are ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) and ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages). I soak up so much knowledge from these organizations that I incorporate in my ever changing and perfecting teaching style. As for my teaching style, I will quote the opinions of my leaders and colleagues in the field: Andrea King Assistant Principal at DeKalb County Public School District "Sanja is a phenomenal teacher. She is a content and pedagogy expert. Everyday in her class is a new adventure. Students learn German in fun innovative ways that they can apply in the real world. She works well with her colleagues often emerging as a Teacher Leader. She is a perfect role model for students and teachers alike." Dagmar Kosche German Teacher at Chamblee Middle School "She is the best thing that happened to the German program at Kittredge Magnet School for High Achievers. The students coming from her are highly motivated to study the language."
