I have taught at Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School and Hammarskjold High School in Thunder Bay, ON to a range of learners. My work at DFC (in Thunder Bay) and with Lite Royale (Cambridge, UK) has also allowed me the opportunity to work with EAL/ELL students. I am currently teaching full time in the UK, developing differentiation within the department.
I like to move gradually through units, starting with a focus on the teacher and building responsibility for knowledge and learning from the students. I like to use a variety of questions as options for plenaries (end of lesson summations). I am working to incorporate more group work into my lessons.
