TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I started teaching in 2006. During my first 9 years in education I taught a variety of 7th and 8th grade math classes in Southern California ranging from Special Education inclusion to Gifted education. I started teaching 8th grade math in Illinois in 2015.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to make math interesting and hands on. I focus on content and am not into aesthetics. I like to make activities that allow students to be hands on and interactive while discussing their thinking with a partner. My class sets take prep time to prepare, but it in the end the things that I hear students discuss makes it all worth it! People always love my ideas, so I decided to give TpT a try!
