I am a NY state-certified science teacher and have a decade of experience teaching middle and high school science in Title I public schools in Brooklyn, NY. I've dedicated my career to teaching students performing below grade level, English Language Learners (ELLs), and students with special needs. As a NYC public school teacher, I created my own curriculum. Now that I work for myself full-time, I have more time to dedicate to creating and sharing resources with other teachers. My curriculum is scaffolded for ELLs to allow access to rigorous, grade-level content.
Student-centered, project-based, literacy-focused, and interdisciplinary. All students can learn when provided with the necessary supports. I create my resources with English Language Learners in mind. However, many of my resources are also appropriate for students reading and writing below grade level. Scaffolds within some of my resources can be removed for differentiation.
