I am the Reading Specialist of a high school in Illinois. I received the Those Who Excel award of recognition by the Illinois State Board of Education in 2008 for contributions to education in Illinois and first published an article in December 2010 titled Vocabulary Words Count in Math, Too which appeared in the International Reading Association’s Reading Today. Not long after I was also published in the 2011 edition of Great Educators. The article featured in that book was titled The Root of the Problem-Vocabulary in the Classroom.
