TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a dual licensed Secondary English and Special Education teacher, and I enjoy combining my passions in the classroom. I have been teaching for 6 years, and my expertise is the following areas: literacy, reading skills, reading strategies, language-based learning disabilities, dyslexia, executive functioning, ELLs, and culturally/linguistically diverse students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I create, modify and adapt rigorous standards-based curriculum for my range of inclusion and substantially-separate high school English classes. I believe in Universally Designed Instruction, and I build curriculum that improves students' skills, while fostering their love of learning.
