TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been a 4th and 5th grade teacher for almost 16 years (hard to believe) and am loving every minute of it. I start my day with dozens of smiles and end it with high fives, handshakes, and hugs.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to make learning fun. I believe that kids learn more when they are having fun and are engaged. There is a lot of laughter and smiles in my classroom. I also believe that integrating the arts, content areas, and language arts is important. The arts are a great tool for teaching, reaching, and assessing students. It enables students to be creative and problem solve in a low risk way.
