TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught first and second grade for 9 years, first in Connecticut and then in Texas. I now stay at home with my one year old baby girl.

I am passionate about teaching reading. I love working with my students in small groups and enjoy seeing the rest of my students actively engaged in meaningful literacy activities during this time.

I received my Bachelor's degree from Westfield State College, where I majored in elementary education and science. I then completed my master's degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in literacy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
