TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching primary (elementary) students since 2004 in Sydney, Australia. I also tutor high schoolers and spent some time overseas a few years ago as a tutor to two Aussie kids living in South-East Asia. I am currently teaching students in Grades 1 and 2.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is a mixture of the old and the new. I love integrating technology into my classroom, but never just for the sake of it. I am reading widely on the subject of '21st Century Classrooms' at the moment, and my style is constantly evolving to incorporate the new ideas I am learning about.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

No particular awards at this point in my career, but I don't really need them - I'm content with just trying to be a good teacher to my students. Their development and happiness at school is all the reward I need!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Education (Primary). I am currently undertaking a Master of Education in Teacher Librarianship, which should be complete by the end of 2016.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love teaching primary in Sydney - best job in the world!
