I am currently a Kindergarten teacher with 3 years of experience in hands-on learning and teaching with authentic experiences. I believe in differentiated instruction and in inclusive classrooms.
Although I do not currently teach in a Montessori-type setting, I believe in this style of learning. I love engaging, hands-on activities where children are moving around the classroom. I believe in experiencing the activity in order to fully understand and to learn the content.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree and an Indiana State Teaching License. In my former years, I attended a Montessori learning environment from K-3.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy a very peaceful, nature-driven lifestyle. I am an avid birder and naturalist, and I volunteer at our local state park. I feel that connecting to nature is very important in our technology-driven world, and I believe in keeping that balance. I also love a variety of art forms, including: knitting, crocheting, gardening, mixed-media mosaicking, stained glass, painting, and drawing.
