I have almost completed my fourth year of teaching. I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade in a total of two school districts. I just found out that I will get to stay in third grade next year, which I'm really excited about! On top of my teaching experience, I have gained educational experience as well. I just earned my Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching.
My teaching style has changed over the past few years. I started teaching mainly whole group, but as I have gained experience, I prefer small groups and stations. I feel this benefits students and differentiates their learning.
I attended a small school in southern Missouri. I was an average student who loved cheerleading and dance. I really didn't love school until I joined athletics in high school, where I made new friends. This eventually led me to my decision to become a teacher to positively impact students that were just like me.
I think about my students and my classroom more than I think about food, which is a lot. I love inspiring kids and helping them learn. Teaching is my passion and I can't wait to share some of my ideas with all of you.
