Little Language Learners' Resources are specifically designed to promote language acquisition while meeting the goals of content area subjects. We have had great success with teaching early primary ELL students to read and write in English. The strategies and techniques that we have developed over the years have a great impact on this success. We are happy to be able to share them here on TpT.
We feel the most powerful way to teach language is through concrete experiences. Prior knowledge needs to be developed to help children build their CALP skills. We use the content areas of science and social studies to help develop students' language acquisition. We provide many concrete expereinces for the children to interact with the concepts being taught. We feel this helps them internalize both the concept and the language.
Little Language Learners' resources are used successfully in thousands of classrooms.
