I have been teaching for three years. My first year, I taught a split classroom, third and fourth grade. Now, I am teacher second grade! This will be my second year in this position and I just love it! I love my little love bugs! All of my students are English Language Learners. Their reading and math levels vary greatly! Some student have no understanding of English and others are on grade level, like native English speaking students. Because of this, you will see that my products vary in skills that may be transferred into a different grade level.
I like using interactive activities that get the students working together or moving around the classroom. Being an SEI teacher, I do a lot of modeling and a lot of practice with my students.
Linda-Schulman Award: iPads for Success- I am very excited to use the iPads from this grant to improve literacy in my classroom!
I have my Elementary Ed. Degree from Westfield State University and my Masters in Reading and Literacy from Endicott College.
In addition to teaching second grade, I teach dance to a variety of age levels. I absolutely love class of 3 and 4 year olds!
