I have taught Kindergarten for six years! I taught at an Urban, Title 1 school for three years which was the hardest yet most rewarding experience. I currently teach at a Pre-K/ Kindergarten Center which houses eight Pre-K classrooms and twenty-one Kindergarten classrooms. I absolutely love my school and the plethora of resources we have. I developed Curriculum and Assessments for my school. I have taught the Sunshine State Standards, Common Core and now back to the Sunshine State Standards. I attended the Kindergarten Conference in Orlando for the 2013/14 and 2015/16 school years. I am currently participating in a STEM Grant for the state of Florida. I am creating Tier 2 implementation and training at my school as well. I recently built and implemented a Little Free Library, which now stands at the front of my school and allows any child to take donated books home as their own at no cost.
I absolutely love being a teacher and truly feel it is my calling. I am a very fun and loving teacher. I use a positive behavior system to impact my class. I teach students life skills they will use the rest of their lives. I have great communication skills with parents as well.
