I am currently in my 9th year of teaching. I am originally from Washington State but I teach in the United Arab Emirates in a town called Al Ain. I teach in a local, government run school where all of my students first language is Arabic. I teach KG2, where the students are 4 and 5 years old. I work with an Arabic co-teacher and we share our classroom to create a multilingual environment.
My teaching style varies by the grade I am teaching and the subject area. I like to keep my students engaged and I hold them to very high standards academically and behaviorally.

I attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA for my undergraduate studies. I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Education in 2007. In 2009 I earned my Masters of Science in Education with a specialization in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University. I hold a Washington State teaching license where I am endorsed to teach Early Childhood Education (Pre-K-3) and Elementary Education (K-8).
I love to travel and I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to many countries throughout the world and on 5 continents. I love to read and I always have my nose in a good book.
