I have 18 years teaching experience with elementary grade levels in a public and private school setting.
My teaching style is hands on as I try to create resources which will gain a child's interests and build on learning. I try to make all activities student centered, i believe by doing so maximizes student independence and foster a love of learning.
My students' success is my best reward.
Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in English Communications from University of Incarnate Word. I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in teaching with a focus of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment.
In addition to the above, I enjoy water color painting, painting portraits and landscapes. I enjoy DIY/crafting. Each year my children and I make handmade ornaments (usually with recycled items) to hang on our tree. My newest hobby is "Happy Planning". I jut bought my first teacher planner in the Spring. I love spending time with my family (my husband and our sons). When I am not creating, I love to sit back reading a book.
