TEACHING EXPERIENCE

After teaching at a Title I school for three years in 5th and 8th grade, I have found my home teaching 1st grade at a classical charter school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to give my students choice and freedom in the classroom while fostering responsibility and self-motivation that will be essential for students throughout their educational career and beyond. I am a firm believer in classical education and in the great need for a content curriculum. The Core Knowledge Foundation and E.D. Hirsch are my BFFs.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am a product of an eclectic education. I grew up attending a mixture of public, private, and charter schools, but graduated from a public high school. I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education with an emphasis in English from Grand Canyon University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Coming from a homeschooling family, I have a love for home education! I love providing homeschool families with resources and assistance to help make the experience as enjoyable and successful as possible.
