TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 4 years. I have certification in pre-k to 6th and special education certificate k-12th. I have taught 3 years in 1st and am now teaching 2nd grade. I have a an inclusion classroom for two years and I am also certified GT.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I reference a lot of conscious discipline for my classroom procedures and classroom environment. If you are not familiar with it you simply take care of the students basic needs like needing to feel safe and loved. Then you can create a truly academic environment because the students are learning empathy and academics. I do a lot of hands on activities and partnerships to help with better understanding.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was chosen to be on our staff Conscious Discipline Committee where we are working together to make our school Conscious Disciplined Aligned.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a bachelors from Tarleton State University in business administration. I got my Alternative Teacher Certification from Region 14 in Abilene.
