I have been in the classroom for 18 years. My experience includes grades one, two, multi-age and enrichment. In addition to the classroom, I have taught a gifted and enriched art program over several summers. I have also collaborated with fellow teachers to run Camp Passport. A two week summer camp where boys and girls "travel" to a different country each day through literature, art, cooking and an exploration of cultural traditions! This is my labor of love.
Our class is a cooperative based classroom. Kagan strategies, Differentiated Instruction, and Learning Centers that are integrated with the curriculum define our instruction. Thematic, hands-on, meaningful lessons help to make our day seamless. We work very hard to cultivate a classroom culture that is warm, inviting, active and risk-free.

I have two fabulous sons ages 12 and 17 and one spectacular husband. All are dedicated to "The Cause of the Classroom!" often cutting, pasting, laminating, painting and more to help me get the job done. The beach is my inspiration. Reading is my escape. My family is my love.
