TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been a tutor (academic, study skills, and standardized test prep) for over ten years. While I usually work with high schoolers, I'm great with students middle school through college. I also have experience as a Special Education assistant. Put together, I am really good at customizing education for students' needs. Currently, I teach Biology and Anatomy at Hamilton-Wenham High School. :)

MY TEACHING STYLE

Student-centered. I always help my students develop their study habits, utilize their strengths, and make choices about how they will learn and express their learning. I'm great at differentiating instruction (both in terms of depth and choice), and have a lot of fun with what I do. When students feel safe, they open up to academic risk. Once they take academic risks, they can wrestle deeply with content. When they wrestle with content, they learn.
