We are both are fluent in french and english. We are both actively in engaged in the community and strongly believe in supporting students with reading difficulties both at home and at school.
We believe that structured literacy builds the foundation for literacy. When students are able to learn to read effectively in a classroom, students will be successful in all areas of schooling.

Kim Lockhart is a French Immersion, elementary Student Support Teacher (SST) with the Limestone District School Board in Kingston, Ontario. She graduated from Trent-Queen's Concurrent Education Program in 2000, with a double major in French and Biology. In 2015, Kim earned her Master of Education degree from Queen's University. She focused her research on evidence-based instructional practices that support students with reading difficulties in French Immersion Programs and developed a resource for parents: "Supporting and Inspiring Your Child with Reading Difficulties in the French Immersion Program". In 2020, Kim received her Associate level, Orton-Gillingham certificate, and most recently, worked with the International Dyslexia Association, Ontario Branch (ONBIA) and the Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston to facilitate workshops for educators and parents of dyslexic children across Ontario. Kim volunteers her time with the Learning Disability Association of Kingston (LDAK) and is a strong advocate for parents of students with reading disabilities. Kim has her Special Education Specialist, FSL AQ qualifications, and is registered with the Ontario College of Teachers. Natalie George is a French Immersion teacher with the Limestone District School Board in Kingston, Ontario. She is currently teaching late immersion for intermediate students. Natalie received her Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Studies from Brock University in 2004 and completed her Bachelor of Education from Brock University in 2005. In 2018, Natalie her Associate level, Orton-Gillingham certificate, and most recently, worked with the International Dyslexia Association, Ontario Branch (ONBIA) and the Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston to facilitate workshops for educators and parents of dyslexic children across Ontario. Natalie is a consultant for Dyslexia Canada and is a strong advocate for parents of students with reading disabilities. Natalie has her French as Second Language Specialist, Special Education Part 1 AQ qualifications, and is registered with the Ontario College of Teachers.
Natalie has three children and a husband with dyslexia and is passionate about supporting both educators and parents in the community.
