This is a activity I designed for my fourth graders for classification of three groups of invertebrates. The three groups are mollusk, arthropods, and worms. Students will select organisms from a chart and place them in the correct category.
Students will write facts about the five groups of vertebrates and create their own booklet about vertebrates. Materials include, page for each vertebrate and facts, complex text for close reading of each vertebrate group, informational writing
I designed this product for a unit about vertebrates for my class. It includes a study sheet with features of all five groups of vertebrates. The assessment includes a feature chart and informational writing activity with a rubric.
Materials include information about three different arachnids, Black Widow, Brown Recluse, and the Wolf Spider. Students will use the information provided to illustrate and write a postcard about their selected arachnid. Post card and rubric
I designed these activities for my students because they were having trouble counting and adding money. This can be a hands on activity with the use of manipulatives. This activity is Common Core aligned with MD2 standard.
