TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught a total of 11 years- two in kindergarten, and nine in first grade! I have been lead teacher on my grade level for two years, and am currently a model classroom for personalized learning within my district. I absolutely love teaching; it is not just my job but my hobby and passion. I am relatively new to TPT, but have been creating things for my classroom since day one. I am so excited to start my TPT journey and share my creations with others.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I will forever believe in the power of a morning meeting, bucket filling, and the responsive classroom approach. Creating a learning environment where students feel loved, valued, and empowered must come before opening a textbook. I work in a title one personalized learning school, where students work through academic standards at their own pace through small group and independent work. I want students to understand what they are learning, and take ownership of it in a fun way. My classroom is based on hard work, making progress, and constantly celebrating successes, big or small!
