TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for over 40 years, first as a primary teacher, then Intermediate, then as a K12 DRAMA teacher. The last 20 years of my teaching experience has been on the University level where I taught undergraduate social studies courses, creative arts courses, and was a coordinator for 3 teacher intern blocks at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My style is one of 'doing is learning'. There were very few lectures in my university classes . Rather my students engaged in projects, activities, group situations, and were given the opportunity of teaching what they learned in class to elementary school children on site at various elementary schools in the Flagstaff, Arizona area.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Member of the Arizona Arts Cadre Member of the K-3 Early Childhood Academy College of Education Teacher of the Year Presenter, BER (Bureau of Education and Research)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my Undergraduate Degree at Texas Christian University and my Masters Degree at the University of Houston
