Effectively building communication skills with visuals and strategies! Over 35 years as a school SLP convinced me of their value for special needs and at-risk learners. Now working full time on TpT, I'm happy to make your life easier with research-based, visually supported materials I was always searching for but couldn't find!
Learning and communication occur best in an environment of mutual respect and enjoyment. Using pictures, visuals and strategies aid all learning and leads to more success when teaching students with disabilities!
Awards and certificates come and go, but those treasured moments.... a child saying her name clearly for the first time... the boy who asks with words instead of tantrums ... the teacher who said I made a difference for her... the mom who cried because she was so happy... the SLPs who thanked me for helping them...Those are the moments I cherish.
