TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 9 years in the Dublin City School District. I have taught third grade my entire teaching career.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy open-ended learning. I like to give my students rich real-world problems and let them explore and discuss the possibilities of arriving at an answer. There is no one way to get somewhere, as long as you get there and can prove how you did it.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have a Masters Degree in teaching Reading and am currently working toward my Masters +45 hours.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Ohio University for my undergrad degree in Early Childhood Education I obtained my Masters in teaching Reading from NOVA Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have been married for almost 6 years to an amazing man, Nick who supports me in every way possible. He encourages me to follow my many dreams in life. We have two children together. Holden is two years old, and he makes us laugh nonstop. Larkin is ten months old, and she is just learning to walk. Being a mommy to two small children and teaching full time is very busy, but well worth the time and effort it takes each day. I enjoy teaching third grade because they are able to have amazing conversations and see the world in a way only a young child can.
