I have always wanted to be a French teacher. In college, I taught part-time at a French Immersion preschool in Columbia, Missouri. In that environment, my language skills really thrived. I also taught beginning-level French as a graduate instructor at the college I was attending. After college I taught full time for 2 years at a high school in mid-Missouri as the only French teacher (read: a lot of preps!) While it was a lot of work, I loved getting to teach all the levels of language learning! I have been to France several times, and have even lived there and worked as an English teacher in a French high school. Teaching (and French!) is my passion and I'm happy to share the small amount of resources I have made with other teachers out there!
I started out my teaching career as a grammar focused language teacher. After my first year, I attended a TPRS workshop and fell in love with this teaching style. I've only gotten to use this method for one year, so I am by no means an expert at implementing it, but I fully believe in it and can't wait to see where it takes me!

I'm from Kansas City, Missouri and went to school in Columbia, Missouri. I spent those first 8 years out of high school living in Columbia, getting degrees and traveling to France. I landed my first big-girl teaching job as a high school French teacher in a small town in mid-Missouri. I shortly thereafter met my husband. We currently live in Louisiana for his job (no, not in New Orleans, but yes we will be visiting!) Since the small school districts around us don't have French programs, I have settled into a high school English position. Bring on the Shakespeare and essays!
