TEACHING EXPERIENCE

47 years of Mathematics teaching with a wealth of knowledge of courses from Math 8 to Math and AP Calculus 12. Computer programmer, rugby player/coach. Manager of Computer stores. Math videos, blogs, computer programs, etc.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Have taught in linear, semester, Copernican, self-paced, public schools, private schools. I have done lecture style to flipped-classroom style.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Very rarely done in Canada.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor of Science with 13 University level Math courses to the 4th year honours level (1969, University of Victoria). Education Year (1970, University of Victoria), Apple and IBM Sales training, Insurance Agent ticket, two courses towards Masters (1996, San Diego State University).

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Have designed and built my own geodesic domes home. Have been a computer programmer since 1967, serious stuff from 1979 to the present. Am currently programming some Math apps for Macintosh, Windows, iPhone, iPad, Android. Married with two children and two grand children
