TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I spent 15 years teaching French at the high school level (9-12) in the United States. I am now teaching French as a foreign language to students of all ages, both online via Skype and in private lessons in France. I have created a YouTube channel with 200+ French grammar videos if you would like to see my teaching style or share the channel with your students: https://www.youtube.com/user/frenchwithjennifer

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to create new activities to use with my students. I truly believe that students learn much more when the learning becomes enjoyable. I use a lot of interesting games and activities, both in the classroom and in the language lab at my school. Since I teach foreign languages, I place a huge emphasis on speaking and listening. I leave a lot of the reading and writing work to be completed as homework.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Before relocating to France in 2013, I was Head of the French Department at St. Louis University High School, a private Jesuit college preparatory school for young men.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

BA in English and French, Louisiana College, 1995 MA in French, St. Louis University, 2000

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
