I spent 15 years teaching French at the high school level (9-12) in the United States. I am now teaching French as a foreign language to students of all ages, both online via Skype and in private lessons in France. I have created a YouTube channel with 200+ French grammar videos if you would like to see my teaching style or share the channel with your students: https://www.youtube.com/user/frenchwithjennifer
I've always loved creating games and interactive activities to use with my students and get them speaking French. I believe that students retain so much more when the learning is fun! I use a lot of creative games and interactive activities both in the classroom and in the language lab. I place huge emphasis on oral production and listening comprehension. I leave a lot of the reading and writing work to be completed as homework, because these important skills can often be done independently once the lessons have been taught. I have a YouTube channel with over 250 French grammar tutorials for my students who struggle and sometimes need a little extra help outside of the classroom.
Before relocating to France in 2013, I was Head of the French Department at St. Louis University High School, a private Jesuit college preparatory school for young men.
