I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher. Ever since I was a little girl I used to play teacher with my siblings and have always told everyone, "I'm going to be a teacher". When I got to my last years in high school I decided, maybe education wasn't the right profession for me and decided to get my Associate of Arts at the Fashion Institute in Los Angeles. Halfway through that program I decided that I really did love and have a passion for education. I finished though and decided to really focus on design, graphic design, and technology to help with my Teachers Pay Teachers store. So in 2014 I decided to start working as a paraeducator and do online school to gain experience while finishing my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I start student teaching this fall and can not wait to gain experience as the head of the classroom. I have 3 years of experience as a paraeducator working, planning, and assessing my own small groups, interventions, and even whole group activities. I am passionate about education and can't wait to get my own classroom.
My teaching style is definitely more on the positive side. I whole-heatedly believe in building relationships with every single student and using positive reinforcement to teach.
