I completed my 60 hour field experience and service learning experience in a Kindergarten classroom. I participated in my 90 hour field experience in a second grade classroom. Finally, I completed my student teaching in a fourth grade classroom. I taught Preschool for about three years after graduating with my degree in education. I have also substituted in various grades in the public elementary schools in my township.
I firmly believe in the quote " Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I may remember. Involve me and I learn." I think it is very important to involve the students in their own learning. I believe that all students are unique and therefore learn in different ways. It is important for the teacher to include various learning activities that will reach each learner in the classroom.
